The PPE Ram 2500 HD Cast Aluminium Rear Differential Cover has been engineered to improve cooling performance, increase differential oil capacity and provide superior protection for the AAM rear differential fitted to late-model Ram HD trucks.

When towing heavy caravans, hauling loads or travelling long distances in Australia's harsh conditions, elevated differential temperatures can accelerate lubricant breakdown and increase wear on gears and bearings. The PPE cover increases oil capacity by approximately 0.7 quart (0.66 litres), providing greater thermal capacity while helping maintain lower operating temperatures.

Manufactured from premium A356.0-T6 heat-treated cast aluminium, the cover features large external cooling fins, internal windage scrapers and cast-in cross-bracing that work together to improve heat dissipation, minimise oil churning and maximise lubrication. Compared with the factory stamped-steel cover, the PPE design also provides significantly greater housing rigidity and increased resistance to impacts from rocks, road debris and off-road obstacles.

For added protection, PPE includes 304 stainless steel magnetic fill and drain plugs fitted with high-temperature Neodymium magnets to capture harmful ferrous wear particles before they circulate through bearings and gears. A built-in 1/8" NPT port also allows fitment of an optional differential temperature sender.
